Justine is an Associate specialising in intellectual property and commercial law. She has significant experience in trade marks, passing off, PDOs, copyright, registered and unregistered design rights, patents, commercial agreements relating to goods, services and IP, advice on advertising.

She works on a mixture of non contentious and contentious matters. Her non-contentious work ranges from the protection of IP to its exploitation for a variety of sectors including fashion, media, entertainment and creative industries. Justine’s contentious experience includes cases in the High Court, Patents County Court and County Court, pre-action correspondence and settlement negotiations. She also works closely with David Lutkin in relation to the registerability, registration, revoking, invalidating and opposing trade marks.

Justine graduated with a degree in Zoology before training and qualifying as a solicitor at Memery Crystal LLP and working at the BBC. As well as helping her to deal with slightly wild clients, Justine’s degree has given her a broad understanding of scientific processes and disciplines.
